Shut Up, Please

We live in a world that's loud. Noisy. Trains, blenders, radios, jackhammers, sirens.. noises. But the loudest of them all are the ones produced from within: the thumping of the heart, the sound of worry, the cry of despair, the wail of lost hope... and we wonder how we could meet God in a quiet place. Is there a way to calm a frantic heart?

Yes. The good news is, God knows where we're coming from. He understands. And He's just waiting for us to give Him all our cares in exchange of His peace. He longs to quiet our hearts.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28, NIV)

We must learn to cast all our worries on God and rely on His unlimited strength and power. Didn't He create the universe and everything that is in it? Then how come we think that our problems are the end of everything? If only everyone will lean on God's love and take a rest, we will all definitely find peace.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:6-7, NIV)

Be still and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10, NIV)
